GEN1 8HP gearbox CAN control

MaxxECU has the ability to control the GEN1 8HP gearbox TCU using CAN, with options to use a Dodge or BMW shifter, or use the shifter emulation feature.
To control the GEN1 8HP gearbox TCU, a custom MaxxECU TCU firmware needs to be flashed using an external TCU firmware flash tool.

MaxxECU can control the GEN1 or GEN2 DCT gearbox found in all E and F-series vehicles.
GEN1 (E-series) DCT gearboxes need to be reflashed using available ODB dongle and BMW tools, while the GEN2 (F-series) gearboxes require the usage of xHP wifi dongle and app to be reflashed.
