Any supported keypad can be used instead of a real shifter.

 

 

Enable the shifter emulation in MTune, Dodge 8HP --> 8HP Settings, Shifter type.

 

 

Digital inputs

Transmission PARK switch, needs brake switch + OSS = 0 to engage.

Transmission Reverse Switch, needs brake switch + OSS = 0 to engage.

Transmission Neutral Switch, can always be requested.

Transmission DRIVE switch, requires brake switch to be engaged when vehicle parked (OSS = 0).

Transmission MANUAL switch, requires brake switch to be engaged when vehicle parked (OSS = 0).

Transmission UP shift, can always be commanded, even in auto mode.

Transmission DOWN shift, can always be commanded, even in auto mode.

Example configuration of transmission up button (momentary = Active as long as button is pressed).

 

Note: One signal is only allowed to be triggered at a time, make sure no input is active constantly, just send a small signal pulse (when button pressed).

Note: Built-in fail safe to prevent P or R when output shaft is turning.
