Feature mainly for Drifters wanting to kick up the rear wheels.
The digital input function Clutchkick is used to release clutch pressure when input is active, to emulate a virtual clutch that can kick up the rear end of the vehicle.
Since most drifters uses handbrake to lock rear wheels (driveshaft speed = 0) at higher speeds, the automatic downshift in manual MUST be prevented.
•Binary4 8HP TCU firmware and the latest MTune 1.154.
•Properly configured Clutchkick input.
1. Drifters MUST enable this feature, which is available in the binary4 8HP TCU firmware and the latest MTune 1.154.
2. Set the desired enable speed for clutch kick. If a clutch kick is in progress and the vehicle speed drops below this value, it will NOT be aborted.
Example clutchkick event and some important 8HP RealTime Data values to check.
Note: This is not a true 0–100% virtual clutch. It simply drops clutch pressure completely when triggered, with a return that simulates the clutch kick feel.
