195 - Lambda module: Sensor too hot

Scroll Back Prev Top Next More

Most WBO errors is related to some kind of wiring issue.

1.Wiring issue, see Lambda sensor wiring or CAN Lambda Module wiring.

2.MTune configuration error.

3.Bad WBO sensor, replace and test with a new one.

4.ECU WBO driver is faulty, contact your dealer.

Note: ONLY GEN2 MaxxECUs have support for the LSU 5.2 lambda sensor.

MaxxECU GEN2 Lambda sensors:

Bosch LSU 4.2

Warmup time: 16 sec (20C to operational)

Lambda range: 0.45 - 1.7

Large step response time: 200ms (0.6-1.5)

Rugged sensor element. Recommended for most applications.

Bosch LSU 4.9

Warmup time: 8 sec (20C to operational)

Lambda range: 0.35 - 1.7

Large step response time: 150ms (0.6-1.5).

Fragile sensor element. Not recommended for applications with big backfires.

Bosch LSU 5.2

Warmup time: 4.5 sec (20C to operational)

Lambda range: 0.35 - 1.7

Large step response: 60ms (0.6-1.5)

Rugged sensor element. Recommended for GEN2 MaxxECU installations.

NTK L1/L2

These are not supported by our internal controllers at this time. We use custom lambda sensor interface circuitry to measure much lower lambda values with Bosch sensors compared to other ECUs and lambda controllers that have "off-the-shelf" solutions.

Bosch 4.9 and 5.2 sensors will work even on ultra-rich methanol applications.

Note: You can use external controllers for NTK-sensors connected to CAN or 0-5V inputs.

2. Lambda heater output properly configured?

Make sure Internal lambda sensor heater is activated as output function, wired to the sensor you are using.
