29 - MAP sensor error

Scroll Prev Top Next More

During ECU startup the MAP sensor value is checked to ensure a "normal reading".

Note: Only checked during ECU power on (and triggered if MAP sensor value is 40kPa or below, with engine off)

Most common issues and how to fix them

1. Example of a MAP sensor value "got stuck" (does not change with pressure or vacuum) might indicate a damaged sensor or that the MAP-sensor has been clogged.

Note: a ~100kPa value when engine is not started, is normal.

2. One or more AIN channels are (accidentally) activated as the external map sensor class.
